A few things
you need to consider before you call PC Medic out.
PC Medic
will do our best to repair your computer. But there are a few factors
that need to be explained before any work has taken place.
1) It is the
customers responsability to do any backups before PC Medic
start any repair work on the computer. e.g.Files/Pictures/Emails/
and any other data etc. PC Medic cannot be held
responsible for no backups or loss of any data on any storage device,
i.e.: harddrive/cd/floppy etc.
2) PC
Medic will repair a computer at the customers cost. i.e.:
hardware/software and labour.
3)PC
Medic will re-install any software that needs to be installed
onto the computer, only if a genuine and original disks are supplied,
we will not at any time install any copies of disks or licenses.
(This is to protect yourself and PC Medic from
any issues or legalalities that may arise from copyright protection).
4) If a full
Installation is required of an operating system i.e.: win95/98/me/2000/xp
etc a genuine license and disk needs to be produced to PC
Medic for installation. If no disk or license is produced,
then the customer needs to buy a genuine copy before installation
is started.
5) Sometimes
a fault cannot be picked up until an installation of an operating
system has started or has finished. If this is the case then the
customer will be informed that they have a hardware problem and
new hardware is required to complete the repair.
6) When a full
installation is required of an operating system and drivers, then
work on the computer is complete. If a customer requires additional
software/hardware added after this, and then there are issues with
the hardware/software, then PC Medic is not responsable
for this. The software/hardware either needs to uninstalled from
the computer or replaced.
7) When a network
has been installed either wired or wirless, PC Medic
is not responsible for any software/hardware issues that arrise
after completion of the network. Issues may already have been in
place with software/hardware. PC Medic does not
and will not configure any software/hardware that does not belong
to the network setup. Only routers/switches/hubs/network cards/firewalls/anti
virus will be configured for the network. Any issues that arrise
after the network has been complete, then there will be additional
charges, no exceptions.

After a full installation or repair of a computer has taken place,
and a customer calls PC Medic to rectify a problem
that has arisen from a customer installing software or hardware
the a labour charge will incur.
